Sexy, Skinny & Smart!

Can you relate to this dilemma?

I sit in front of the computer on my keister too many hours each day.

Now, I don't want to get into a dissertation about my
keister, but let's just say it's not the best thing for *any* keister
to be sitting too long each day and leave it at that. ;)

Do you spend too much time on your keister, too?

That got me thinking. A lot of my time sitting is spent
listening to recorded teleseminars to boost my business, and learn
about topics I can share with you.

So, I decided that I'd use the teleseminars as an excuse to get
Skinny, Sexy and Smart! How? By getting an mp3 player and listening
while I walk or run.

Of course, the first player I looked at was the Ipod which is awesome
and comes in a lot of different colors that would be really cool
.... but, the Ipod is pretty expensive. I didn't know if I was THAT
dedicated to walking just yet, even though I was really drooling

over this green one

So, I looked some more options and found a cool little mp3 player
that was a fraction of the price. I got it last week, and I love
it! It's working just great for what I need.

My mp3 player

The first thing I did when I got my little mp3 player was to load
about 20 hours of audios from MomMasterminds
on topics like...

"Traffic Magnets" -- How to drive traffic to your website
that will convert to sales.

"Increasing Your Sales Through Online Auctions" -- Learn to benefit
from the massive amounts of traffic that online auction sites like
eBay receive and increase your website traffic and customer base.

"The Power of a Focused Business" -- Discover the philosophy of
getting so crisply focused with your business that decision making
is easier, less time consuming and you spend more time doing what
you love.

"7 Deadly Website Sins" -- Very simple
things you must do with your website now to increase your sales.

"Building Blocks for Getting Organized and Managing Clutter" -- A
recorded teleseminar to help you regain control of your chaotic life.

So, needless to say, I've got a lot of walking ahead of me. I'm
feeling like Forrest Gump. I may start running ... and never stop. ;)

Reminder: Claim your free 7 day trial at MomMasterminds, available
through through this special link -
http://www.showmomthemoney.com/MMfree-trial.htm

If you're dreading the holiday weight gain, but don't want
to take time away from your business, an mp3 player might be a good
investment for you, too.

As they say in Madagascar, "I like to move it, move it!"
Do you like to "move it, move it", too?

Send me a note to let me know if you decide to get your
keister in shape, too. We can do it together!

Have a happy day!
Nicole

PS. Don't forget about Kelly McCausey's new printed newsletter
You can read it on the excercise bike at the gym. ;)

Are you feeling Isolated?

Janice Ferrante, the Queen of KAOS, shared a great article this month about how taking care of yourself.

Isolation Doesn't Have to be Desolation: A popular reason that most women stay home to work is so that they won’t have to leave their kids and home to go to work.
Another reason is to leave the “rat race” of 9-5, become our own boss and get to work wearing a bathrobe and fuzzy slippers!
Some of us are just natural born homebodies.
But some days it can seem a double-edged sword.

Enjoy!

Online & Offline Promotion

Lisa Gonzalez, owner of www.keywordprincess.com has written two fantastic articles about business promotion. I'd like to feature both articles here. I hope you enjoy them!

Offline Business Promotion for WAHMs - A lot of work at home moms are working from home with traditional businesses such as party businesses, direct sales and even home made, home grown businesses but many encounter the same hurdles…how can I promote my business to the fullest? It’s a common question for many entrepreneurs period. It may sound crazy, but are you using any traditional forms of advertising?

Online Business Promotion for WAHMs - This week we’ll continue this discussion about business promotion but we’ll explore a few ways to promote your business online. I want to mention a message board that I came across the other day, work at home moms were in fact talking about business promotion and I ran across a post from one work at home mom who said she’s afraid of online business promotion. Afraid? I thought, how could anyone be afraid?

Please let me know what your business promotion ideas are. And, of course, please check out our resources on Business Promotion...

What gets you Excited about Your Business? (by Marie Roker)

Marie Magdala Roker of Smart Bee Coaching LLC http://www.smartbeecoaching.com
sent this in her newsletter this week and wanted to share it with
you. Here it is, written by Marie ...

I want to talk to you about your busine.ss. I just have to ask,
what gets you excited about your business?

What I mean is what makes your heart sing, gives you that tingling
feeling like the first time you felt in love, makes you want to
dance on a Monday morning?

You see, it's that same excitement that will get you through
the rough patches. When everything is going smoothly, you are the
queen of the world; hit a bump and you're ready to leave the
queendom.

I'm here to tell you to keep that feeling! When busine.ss is slow
and you don't know what lies ahead, stay excited. When you start to
worry about what may or may not happen, stay excited. Have you ever
spoken to someone who is so passionate about what they are doing
that it's almost contagious. You feel excited for them, you want to
hear more, and you feel genuinely happy for them.

How do you approach your busine.ss now? Do you jump up in the
morning, eager to find out what's new with your business? Do the
little things make you feel good or do you grumble about the fact
that your busi.ness is moving slow and you've made no sales? You
are fortunate to have your busin.ess so be proud of it; the good ,
the bad, and the ugly. There are no promises in life, but the one
thing no one can take away from you is that your exciting busine.ss.

So no matter what happens today, say to yourself: "I'm passionate
and excited about my busine.ss!"

Keep saying it until you believe it.

Free Advertising Ideas

I got an email the other day from a good friend. She wrote:

"Nicole, I can't pay for advertising. What are the best
ways to get free advertising?"

Here's what I told here...
If you have more time than money, then there are MANY
ways to get free advertising, traffic and incoming links to your site.

I've got several options for you.

Submit quick and easy recipes with your website URL to
Free Quick Recipes

Become an ongoing columnist for one of my websites
(contact me with your interests and I'll find a place for you.)
Need WAHM Columnists

Or if an ongoing columnist position is too much of a committment,
submit one article for consideration.

You can find plenty more ideas for free advertising
at my site ... from blogs to Logo Tee-shirts.
Get Traffic - Site Promotion

You CAN establish an online presense without breaking your budget!

Where do you do your best thinking?

I find I do my best thinking when I get away from my computer. This is a little scary since my entire business is focused around the comupter. ;)

So, unless I can move my computer into the shower with me, or into the car, I'm just not using my brain to its best capacity.

Until now....
Kelly McCausey recently launched her new PRINT newsletter just for WAHMs. It's a monthly newsletter that is sent in the snail mail.
http://www.showmomthemoney.com/wc.htm

What's the big deal, you ask?

You can read it when you're in the drive through at Starbucks, take notes on it, and refer to it forever! Heck, read it in the bathroom. I won't tell.

You can read it in a box.
And you can read it with a fox...

You can read it in a house.
And you can read it with a mouse...

You will read it here and there.
You will read it EVERYWHERE!

(Like I said, I do my best thinking AWAY from the computer. YIKES!)

Kelly has a special low introductory offer for this printed newsletter, so you can lock in at the low price forever.
BUT ... it ends Monday.

So, check it out already!

Nicole

PS. I'm a columnist in the newsletter, but don't let that scare you away. There's other columnists in there, too. ;) http://www.showmomthemoney.com/wc.htm
